About the products

All MISKIS.STUDIO products are made by hand at our own workshop. Our jewellery is designed and handcrafted by the designer: small batches, made to order, limited editions and one of a kind -pieces.

The first collection was created using different traditional metalsmith methods. First I usually start with sketches on paper. Then I craft a model from wood block. Then I sandcast the wooden object to create a silver model. Then I create a rubber stencil of the object to make wax models for casting. Then I made lost wax casting to multiply the process. You can find some process photos in the shopping section.
Keevitsä earring is hand sawn from a silver plate.

Sustainability

Each piece of jewellery is unique with their own handcrafted characteristics. Some products also numbered to highlight the hand made, small production.

We use silver because it can be repaired and recycled. We recycle our silver as much as possible, and use Finnish and local natural gem stones, reindeer antlers etc. materials sourced from Lapland.
